Photography equipment I use to shoot my content. Free Guide

Digital content creation has increased ever since the Covid-19 lockdown began in the year 2020. There has been a 61% increase in Short term content strategy for many companies during the covid-19 lockdown and a 9% increase in the Long term content strategies of many marketing firms.

Digital content creation has increased largely due to the shift in the lifestyle to an online mode. Digital creation requires creating videos and increased use of social media has led to a 50% increase in engagement on Youtube and a 1/3rd increase on Instagram.

There are numerous factors while one is shooting content for digital platforms. A good video needs to be shot in good lighting and is steady. As a food and travel blogger, there are various pieces of types of equipment I use to shoot videos.

Smartphone

Everyone these days has a smartphone with a good quality camera. So if you are a person who wants to start shooting content, smartphones are the easiest way to start shooting. I own a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. It has a triple rear camera setup and the quality of the videos is amazing. Plus it has various camera modes such as portrait, food, slow-motion, super slow motion, hyper-lapse, panorama, pro video etc which provide me with different options to shoot videos and photos as per my need.

Tripod

Steadiness is one factor which determines the quality of the video. As shooting with only a smartphone may cause a hindrance in the steadiness of the video, to avoid cases like this, I use a gorilla tripod. I can attach my smartphone easily to this tripod and I can adjust the angles as required.

Travel Lens

Recently I got a set of travel lenses which gets attached to your smartphone. Various types of Lens come in the set and are categorised as per the DSLR lens category such as wide angled, bird view etc. This helps me shoot travel content for my channel.

As a creator, these are the basic equipment I have invested in as of now. These pieces of equipment help me create stable and clear videos. It is not necessary to invest in a travel lens or a tripod. You can create content by using your smartphone and can take the help of things that are available to you at home.
